There's a wonderfully spacious open living and dining, area which spans the full width of the apartment and opens on to a sunny, south-facing balcony. It's a wonderful place to relax with your morning coffee, or perhaps watch the sunset over the Aravis mountains with a glass of wine.
In the small kitchen, which is separated from the dining area by a breakfast bar, it has everything you need to cook up a hearty dinner, and there's a large fridge and dishwasher to make life easier.
There are three bedrooms: a double with a Velux window and an en suite shower room; a twin and a single bedroom, both of which have mountains views.
The apartment also has a garage and there's a ski room with a boot warmer and storage in the cellar.
About the area...
If it’s great skiing you’re after, Dorealp is a perfect choice. The ski bus stops just 300m away, the Nant piste isn’t much further, and from there it’s just a minute’s ski down to the ski school meeting point in Bossonet, La Clusaz.
An Aravis ski pass will give you access to more than 200km of pistes in La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand and Manigod, and there are plenty of cross-country trails to discover, too.
If you fancy a break from the slopes, there are plenty of other things to do, with an ice-skating rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village’s heated outdoor pool, while the snow falls silently around you.
If you're visiting in the summer, Dorealp's location just seven minutes walk from the village of La Clusaz means you won't have to rely on your car to explore everything the area has to offer. Hike into the Col des Aravis, or let the telecabine ferry you and your bike to the top, so you can come back down at your own pace. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding. The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with tracks and paths, so there is always somewhere new to discover.

“A great base for a family holiday”
Dorealp is a recently refurbished apartment for six, on the second floor of a chalet, just seven minutes' walk from the centre of La Clusaz.
It's a great choice for a family looking to avoid the anonymous apartment blocks which are so common in many other ski resorts. Here you get a quiet location just a short walk from the piste and the ski bus, but with all the facilities of this traditional village close by.
The accommodation takes up the second floor of this five-apartment chalet. Sloping roofs restrict head height in some of the bedrooms, but the advantage of being at the top of the chalet is that there is no one above you to disturb your peace.
The bedrooms and the kitchen are compact, but there's plenty of room in the open plan living dining area, which opens on to a sunny furnished balcony where you can enjoy a drink, a meal, or just breathe in that fresh mountain air.
The apartment has recently been refurbished, with new shower rooms and kitchen, which has been cleverly designed to include everything you need to cook up a feast. But with so many great restaurants in La Clusaz, many of which offer a takeaway service, you might prefer to take a break from the cooking.
We think Dorealp is a great choice for a family looking for a quiet base from which to enjoy great skiing in the winter, walking in the summer, while making the most of traditional village life. It's sure to be a popular choice with our guests!

A penthouse apartment - we loved the idea!
We loved the idea of a penthouse apartment, especially as the location was perfect - a little green oasis, quiet, sunny and near the river. It's also very close to the piste - just a 100m walk away.
The lovely big windows and the terrace, off the living area, mean you have great views of the mountains, the skiers and paraglider, depending on what time of year you visit. The atmosphere at Dorealp is contemporary but cosy, and everything has been designed to make sure your holiday is pleasant and carefree.
